We are hiring a Senior Controller for a company in the pharmaceutical industry.

O que terás de fazer

The Controller function within the Corporate Engineering area is primarily responsible for the financial oversight of investment projects and the engineering department costs. The aim is to implement best practices in terms of controlling and supporting systems, elevate the accuracy of forecasting and guarantee adherence to internal rules and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Implement methodologies, tools and reports to actively manage investment projects, adjusted to the size and complexity of the projects.
• To prepare and coordinate the execution of the yearly Capex budget, coordinating with all areas their needs and to produce the final reports of appropriation and spend for the coming years (5 year plan)
• To supervise the correct project cost allocation and to liaise with Project Managers and Lead Engineers on the accuracy of cost allocation.
• To guarantee timely & correct closure of Capex projects.
• To drive the review of sites’ E&M budgets and expenditure on Repair & Maintenance, Utilities and Energy, with the goal of optimizing cost/benefit.
• To set Controlling KPi to understand the evolution of company Maintenance costs such as, spare part’s inventories, repair costs, energy consumptions and maintenance contracts
• To prepare, monitor and control Corporate Engineering area costs, providing the level of detail necessary to forecast and adjust expenditure.
• To liaise with Corporate Finance on all matters related to projects and to prepare data for financial audits.
   

O que precisas de garantir

• University degree in Finance or Business Administration
• Minimum 7 years experience in controlling in the context of large investment projects and/or industrial activities
   

Working experience with SAP software (PM, IM and PS modules are a plus)

• Proficient in Excel
• Fluent in English
