Job Purpose Statement

As a Data Scientist, you will develop insights using a wide range of data sources to directly help the research, portfolio construction and trading processes across a range of different investment teams and share responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of these processes. This will be done under the guidance of senior members of the team.

You are an enthusiastic self-starter who is motivated by achieving and exceeding goals. To be most successful in this role, you will be flexible, creative, and detail oriented.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Traders and Business Leaders to generate data insights that support investment decisions
  • Apply quantitative methods to design and develop analytical models and data visualization tools
  • Provide analytical expertise and thought leadership that contributes to business decisions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to iterate on data science initiatives


Key Capabilities

  • Demonstrated quantitative problem-solving and analytical modeling skills
  • Strong statistical programming experience, including proficiency in data analysis languages (Python, R, SQL)
  • Experience creating analytics and models that influence business decisions
  • Comfort with software engineering practices, including writing maintainable code, debugging and version control
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and its application to data science
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity
