Redstone Commodity Search are working with a large multinational environmental trading company looking to hire a voluntary carbon trader to join the team to help develop the UK market.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for the sales and trading on the voluntary carbon market
- Analyse trends in the market including counterparty research to produce accurate forecasts so as to maximise profit through business development
- Prepare proposals for carbon offsetting based on pre-existing projects as well as conducting onsite meetings and discussion with prospective clients and representing the company at conferences in order to build brand awareness.
- Develop and sustain a portfolio of clients within the certificates market, being responsible for the whole lifecycle of onboarding from initial contact through to close.
- Reports into the head of voluntary trading
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 4+ years of experience in carbon and/or environmental products markets with a demonstrable track record of relationship building with internal and external stakeholders as well as confidence in in your salesmanship
- Demonstrable experience with one or more of these sectors: O&G, Utilities, FMCG, Retail, Aviation, Financial, Telecommunications or IT
- Strong Excel experience and attention to detail
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills (in English) and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Role to be based in Madrid
