We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Fraud Analytics.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Developing, deploying and enhancing fraud systems and strategies to protect the business against financial loss
  • Ensuring fraud analytics and related solutions such as Fraud Risk Controls are operating at optimum effectiveness
  • Providing expertise in fraud risk control and technical solution knowledge to Fraud Operations and Fraud Management functions
  • Developing new analytical practices in line with the Global Fraud Analytics
  • Supporting activities on plastic card, Digital, Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) application systems, with a particular focus on digital payment strategies and portfolios
  • Participating in fraud related projects, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) to capture requirements and understand the local regulatory environment and platform issues across the regions
  • Engagement with Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) team to understand changes in Business strategy
  • Identify opportunities and best practice across Fraud Risk systems that deliver efficiencies
  • Ad-hoc fraud incident support is required if any

Requirements
  • Strong risk management and governance experience including 3 lines of defense criteria
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to use statistical packages including SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, Python, Visual Basic and SQL
  • Visualizations tools knowledge like Qliksense, Tableau tools is an added advantage
  • Ability to maintain control, direction and motivation in an ever-changing environment
  • Familiar with Fraud Detection Software (SAS EFM and Instinct software platform is an advantage) and fraud rule writing approaches
  • Strong understanding of the digital payments world and strategies used for digital payment fraud prevention
  • Strong understanding of the HSBC global organization
  • Organized with positive drive, tenacity and good influencing
  • Experience of fraud processes and controls
  • Past working experience in a fraud analytics would be an advantage
  • An ability to assess multiple attributes, analyse for outcomes and make decisions that deliver against all components of the business
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms (GCP, Azure and AWS) and/or big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
