The companies in our portfolio are predominatly in the SAAS space across healthcare and broader tech industries. Companies are across Europe but predominantly are in the UK, France, we also have a presence in Germany and the Netherlands. European Language skills would be a plus.

The individual will work closely with the companies across our portfolio, collaborating with colleagues within the portfolio operations and the deal teams along with portfolio company leadership to build and scale effective operational finance functions through the application of proven and reputable best practices, such as: developing the finance structure and reporting timelines, efficient operating / budget models, industry standard metrics and management information enabling companies to take data led decisions.

The role will involve the following responsibilities:
  • New investments:
    • Assessment of the current reporting, the team, and the wider finance environment
    • Define key metrics & processes
    • Review systems landscape and identify areas for improvement in processes
    • Prepare roadmap to achieve the best practise and support implementation
  • Portfolio Company monthly reporting deck:
  • Embed best practise finance reporting within the portfolio companies
  • Build reporting templates to reflect the key financial, operational, and commercial metrics
  • Supporting portfolio companies provide consistent monthly financial information to enable efficient monitoring of performance
  • Bolt-on acquisition diligence and integration support
  • Review and support execution of revenue and cost optimisation projects
  • Review and support execution of capital investment projects
  • Automating dataflow in the absence of financial systems
  • Scoping and implementing of the relevant tools/systems to enhance reporting at the portfolio companies with the support of third-party advisors
  • Supporting deal team/management with preparation of the business plan and other supporting financial information
  • Building out data room - financial and non-financial data
  • Managing the sell side FDD process

The candidate will have the following attributes:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CA or other equivalent) with 5-7 years of experience (ideally the individual will be a Manager/Senior Manager at a Big 4/top ten accountancy firm or a leading advisory firm)
  • Individuals currently working within a Transactions Advisory practise with at least 2 years of transactions experience
  • Experience of advising on Private Equity transactions
  • Experience of working with senior management (e.g. CFO/Finance Director)
