Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Lead Finance Office (LFO) team. As a Senior Financial Analyst you will play an integral role on the Columbia Threadneedle Investments (CTI) LFO business partnering team providing high quality analysis and decision support service in order to drive business decisions. This includes business plans, budgeting and forecasting, product analysis, management information production, expense and headcount management and ad-hoc analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of financial business partnering across a number of business departments including production of the annual budget, regular forecasting and analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis, reporting, and compiling management information to drive business decisions
  • Develop, improve, and run forecasting/planning models and perform variance analysis
  • Support production of cost benefit analysis (CBA) for business initiatives
  • Ad-hoc & project work as required
  • Improve the level of understanding of the financial data in the team to enable its members to better assist and support the business
  • Produce insightful & detailed ad hoc financial reports and analyses on a timely, accurate and consistent basis as required
  • Build and maintain relationships with other members of the Finance team to ensure qualitative, detailed reporting from Finance in the eyes of the wider business


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in financial or analytical role.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to complete financial modeling tasks and financial analysis using spreadsheets and/or other tools.
  • Experience applying accounting and financial concepts to interpret and solve business problems.
  • Ability to generate outputs that support decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to verbally present findings to management.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of finance, accounting and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building relationships that influence and establish credibility across an organization- to business partners, A&R, other finance areas, etc..
