My Financial Services Consultancy Client is currently experiencing a surge in Data Engineering requirements across one of our core Banking Clients. We currently have 2 large programmes which we are looking for Data Engineers (with 4+ years experience) to be part of a wider data transformation Initiative.

My Financial Services Consultancy Client is currently experiencing a surge in Data Engineering requirements across one of our core Banking Clients. We currently have 2 large programmes which we are looking for Data Engineers (with 4+ years experience) to be part of a wider data transformation Initiative.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop custom models and algorithms to drive experimentation forward
- Identify immediate opportunities for predictive modelling to deliver measurable value across the bank
- Experience using a statistical programming language (python, pyspark - required; scala - a plus)
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning and statistical techniques; all interests in this space are welcome, but a desire to experiment and learn more is important for our research
- As a baseline, an understanding of different machine learning model algorithms is required, spanning supervised and unsupervised areas, as well as deep learning
- Experience building, interpreting, and presenting the applications of machine learning modelling and statistical techniques
- Experience with Hadoop and Spark technology preferred (strong knowledge of architecture, internals, pipelines and execution)
- Experience writing production level code with version control and CI/CD in place
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure technology (e.g. the full machine learning pipeline from ingestion to model outputs in the GCP suite or any major cloud vendor) preferred
Key Skills:

- Strong understanding of SQL and data querying
- Degree in quantitative science or machine learning (PhD preferred)
- At least 3-5 years of experience manipulating data sets and implementing data models
