AVP (Auditor) - Asia Pacific Wealth Management

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Ability to supervise and monitor audits plans and execute audit testing to ensure efficient and high-quality audit risk assessments and recommend remediations.
• Utilization of a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the Bank's risk management, control and governance processes and framework.
• Opportunity to shape audit planning and fieldwork and to present findings in collaboration with the Audit Manager, to internal stake holders
• Ability to guide/support more junior staff to develop their insights as well as addressing performance issues encountered within audits in a proactive way.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• Undergraduate degree is essential. Further education or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA/CA, CFA) preferred, but not required
• At least five years of work experience in the financial industry, including Audit or Private Banking. Advantageous
• Open to consider candidates with experience in Investment Banks, Global Markets, Operational Risk and Asset Management. Also open to consider candidates from Big Four, covering audit on financial institutions.
• Knowledge of Private Banking operation and control environment as well as regulatory topics in Hong Kong, Singapore, and China such as Investment Suitability, Anti-Money Laundering, Cross Border, Client Conduct, is advantageous. Knowledge of Private Banking products and offering is also advantageous
• Proven understanding of risk and how controls can mitigate those risks while being commercial
• Proven analytical skills and keen to collaborate with data specialists to shape audit tests and acquire relevant insights from data
• Outstanding time management skills and precision in delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to present information in a succinct and concise way. Knowledge of Cantonese and Mandarin would be an asset
