Press Box PR is looking for an individual with a content or journalism background, who can write creative press releases based on their understanding of the media appetite for financially-focused topics.
The successful candidate will be able to turn technical analysis of stocks and shares, commodities such as oil and gas prices, inflation and interest rates, into digestible, newsworthy press releases that match up to the mainstream news agenda.
Your primary objective will be to achieve coverage for our clients in this sphere by proactively and reactively using events in the news - such as the Budget, a Bank of England statement or a Tesla quarterly report - to offer the right tone of personal finance content to busy journalists.
You will also be responsible for devising interesting, insightful and well-researched set pieces for clients and delivering them to the media in an engaging and efficient manner.
Your strong contacts book in either news, finance or both areas of the media will be your key to success as you produce content based on informed knowledge of what journalists are looking for.
We want you to join our team and grow with us as we expand into new, important areas and bring on bigger and better clients working on some of the most newsworthy stories around the UK and across the world.

• The ability to use editorial judgment to preempt and react to news angles that can generate online media coverage on behalf of brands, products and spokespeople
• Competent in planning, reporting and project management including communication with stakeholders at all levels, including some client management
• A network of relevant journalist & editor contacts - and an ability to grow more
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong data analysis & data sourcing skills
• An entrepreneurial approach to work with the ambition to learn and progress
• Committing to regular attendance in our central London office
Desirable
