This role is part of our new 'Solutions' team, designed to act as a partner to engineering and business stakeholders. The Solutions team provides overall product ownership across the Fixed Income organization, with Portfolio and Analyst Attribution being a significant focus for this role.

Members of the team partner with business-focused engineering teams to deliver high-quality software products to investment staff.

As part of the team, you will:
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers to build a product roadmap, and ensure product features align to the long-term strategic needs of stakeholders.
  • Work alongside Engineers to develop prototype code that defines complex business logic and domain-specific calculation methodologies
  • Understand the holistic needs of stakeholders and propose innovative technology solutions to drive business outcomes.

This role is an evolution of the traditional BA role, with emphasis placed on mixing subject matter expertise with an engineering mindset.

Core Competencies and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain relationships with Fixed Income Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, Quants and Investment Analysts across the globe
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineer teams to understand, develop, and deliver a product roadmap for Fixed Income attribution
  • Master and support vendor provided applications, such as Bloomberg PORT, MSCI etc
  • Work closely with agile technology teams to implement business requirements and automation.
  • Provide operational support to ensure data quality in our systems, whilst working to automate support overheads through the use of technology solutions.
  • Identify data quality and integrity issues and provide resolution recommendations after performing an in-depth analysis
  • Must be able to independently "troubleshoot" functional and/or quantitative problems

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience with Fixed Income products, derivatives, and analytics within an Asset Management firm.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Fixed Income Attribution
  • Systems analysis or experience working with and analyzing data for Front Office functions
  • Hands-on knowledge of commercial Fixed Income analytics platforms
  • General knowledge and awareness of macro-financial markets and more specifically, the Asset Management industry
  • Solid data analysis skills - SQL database queries, Excel/Access file manipulation, Jupyter notebooks

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
  • Hands-on knowledge working with Bloomberg PORT
