The Investment Lab is an integral part of Citi's investments organization, dedicated to delivering comprehensive, analytical and highly customizable strategies and solutions for investment clients across the wealth spectrum.

This specific position of Investment Lab Analyst is for developing, launching and integrating Asia's Global Investment Lab (GIL) services across the client spectrum, with special focus on Citigold & Citigold Private Client segments, with responsibility for driving business results, enabling quality portfolio, promoting scalable portfolio solutions and advisory efforts, and ultimately contributing to investment sales and AUM growth across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Support cross-segment client needs ( including those of Citigold Private Client (CPC), Citigold (CG) & HNW ) within GWM by bringing in relevant cutting-edge GIL capabilities meeting the segment needs with respect to portfolio analytics.
  • Map cross-segment client needs against available GIL solutions and implement pilot solutions.
  • Design suitable new GIL capabilities or potential modification of existing GIL capabilities to adapt to the different segment needs.
  • Identify opportunities for scaling up suitable high-touch GIL solution via automation through appropriate short-term/medium-term technology projects and manage business delivery end-to-end.
  • Adopt an integrated approach that new capabilities are aligned, collaborative or consistent with and integrative to existing portfolio capabilities and advisory tools.
  • Work extensively with the data and MIS and associated support groups to track client response and business impact (AUM, Revenue, Client Satisfaction) from the implemented GIL tools
  • Design strategies to broaden and deepen the business impact and drive in-business teams to execute and monitor the business impact objectives.
  • Work as prime contact for, collaborate and negotiate with various internal stakeholders including business teams (like product, data & analytics, digital), global functions (like legal, compliance and risk stakeholders including Model Risk Management) as well as operations & technology partners, where relevant.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholder units, country business teams and GIL colleagues globally for continuous process improvement to the end-to-end wealth analytics and strategy delivery.
  • Coordinate with External Vendors and Technology teams in the delivery of GIL content and portfolio analytics through third party/fintech channels.
  • Plan and coordinate launch-related and periodic training execution for the GIL tools to the relevant in-business teams - Relationship Managers/Bankers, Investment Counselors (ICs), Portfolio Counselors (PCs) and in-business WM teams - within the served segments.
  • Facilitate preparation of regular and ad-hoc business presentation materials for management reviews.
  • Maintain high focus on risk & controls aspects of the role and compliance to applicable laws, rules and regulations, adherences to Citi policies, procedures and practices, Citi Code of Conduct, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, including following up duly to fulfill necessary obligations to relevant global & regional risk & control stakeholders.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in any of Retail Banking, Private Banking, Asset Management, Capital Markets or Securities/Funds related domain
  • Robust knowledge of investment products span (mutual funds, fixed-income securities, structured products, stocks and exchange-related products and alternatives) from both product and distribution perspective.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative concepts relating to investments and finance (portfolio performance, risk analytics, financial markets and investment strategies, asset allocation techniques, portfolio simulation, etc.) and demonstrate ability to deal with quantitative constructs part of portfolio solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Proven experience in driving and implementing strategy and delivering in a complex, cross-functional, high-energy financial business environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication with peer groups and management, and build effective business cross-team relationships
  • Strong proficiency in English
  • Project Management experience would be advantageous
