Treliant Capital Markets is looking for a number of experts within Trade Surveillance to join our Service Delivery Centre as part of our Financial Crime Operations team. We are looking for a team of experienced Trade Surveillance Analysts.

About the role
While the scope the project will change as the project evolves, your duties & responsibilities may include:
  • Working with our client on monitoring initiatives
  • Creation and maintenance of records
  • Analyze customer and client information to assess risk
  • Look for patterns to identify suspicious activity
  • Perform regulatory investigations
  • Escalate and present findings of investigations
  • Keep up to date with and becoming an expert in current and changing regulations
  • Provide risk advice for business decisions, responding to inquiries or requests
  • Conducting trade surveillance and monitoring of transactions on EEA markets, including OTC and any product(s) that my client offers, for potential insider dealing or market manipulation
  • Ensuring appropriate and timely alert management, following standards for closure or escalation
  • Documenting surveillance reviews, investigations, and other activities following guidelines
  • Preparing STORs for submission to FCA
  • Other duties as required which fall within the scope and remit of the role


Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong educational background - Degree (Masters would be an advantage)
  • 2+ years' experience in Trade Surveillance transaction monitoring alerts
  • Experience drafting clear and concise summaries of alert review findings
  • Experienced initiating escalations, comfortable discussing with high level stakeholders
  • Background in customer trading surveillance preferred
  • Strong product knowledge of equity or exchange traded derivative markets' or, preferably, both - ideal
  • Knowledge of EU market conduct rules and market regulations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a small-team and fast-paced environment; and to work independently and to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skill
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
