Position Description:

As a Fund Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial oversight for Americas Operations by developing and presenting financial analytics to senior leadership, executive committees, and the Board of Trustees. You will manage multiple budgets, refine expense forecasts in real-time that coincide with changes in business activities, produce ad-hoc management reporting, and create profitability analyses for various business lines. You will foster an inclusive approach when collaborating with colleagues across the organization and regions to manage complex projects, enhance business intelligence capabilities and implement risk-reducing improvements in execution.

This position will be based in Newport Beach, CA. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize resources to respond to internal client, management, and board requests for information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Lead the coordination and project management of various Funds Finance team projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with various groups within PIMCO, such as legal and business heads, to discuss, analyze, and manage the economics of products and vendor fee arrangements.
  • Provide management with reporting/insights into drivers of expenses, trends over time, and "what if calculations" for proposed changes in economic terms
  • Drive continuous improvement in all financial processes while leveraging technology and resources for efficiency to enhance controls and effectiveness
  • Develop an understanding of our current processes and implement and/or recommend ways to improve the process, quality, and content
  • Prepare and review financial analysis and metrics relied on for business decision-making purposes


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; an MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus
  • Ten years of proven experience with mutual fund/private equity/hedge fund firms in financial accounting, audit, or finance function
  • Exposure to alternative investments or REITs preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP and Investment Company Accounting
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Controls-minded to identify and improve processes and mitigate risk
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); Oracle business intelligence products, SAP, a plus
