Responsibilities:
- Responsible for communicating market prices and liquidity conditions to trading desk and Portfolio Managers.
- Manages intra-day cash positions across a variety of investment products including money market funds and separate accounts.
- Assists in managing market and liquidity risk.
- Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and executing term transactions.
- Liaises with operations and support teams through the life cycle of the trade to ensure proper trade settlement.
- Completes assigned market research for trading team, distribution and clients. Handles routine trading desk inquiries and runs reports as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ideally 2-5 years money market/short fixed income experience.
- Experience trading money market instruments preferred.
- Strong interest in financial markets. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced trading environment.
