With three decades of experience and having just completed the largest private equity raise by a Saskatchewan Fund Manager, we are growing our team. Westcap is seeking investment professionals to fill the role of Investment Manager and/or Investment Analyst, dependent on qualifications and experience.

What can you expect in the Investment Manager role?

As Investment Manager, you will work with our experienced team of investment professionals to lead, analyze and assess current and prospective investment opportunities. As an Investment Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of a number of existing portfolio companies and being the primary point of contact, you will play a key role in the strategic planning process, budgeting and developing and monitoring performance metrics. You will work closely with the top CEOs of the investee companies to ensure long-term growth goals are met.

What can you expect in the Investment Analyst role?

As Investment Analyst, you will work with our experienced team of investment professionals to support the analysis and assessment of current and prospective opportunities. The Investment Analyst will conduct detailed investment due diligence processes, review final statements, and calculate valuations of potential investments across a wide range of industries. You will create financial models, collect data and industry research, prepare investment memorandums, and monitor the operations of a diverse investment portfolio.

What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, passionate about a career in venture capital and private equity and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment to achieve the companies' objectives and deliver positive results to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • University degree with a focus on finance, business, or accounting
  • Completion of or enrolment in the CBV or the CFA program would be a definite asset
  • Previous similar experience is required
  • Financial modeling techniques and valuation methods 
  • Research and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Logical and analytical reasoning to resolve problems
  • Self-motivated professional who is practical and result oriented 
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Team player - ability to work collaboratively
