IHS Markit's Private Markets Group empowers a diverse spectrum of private equity and venture capital firms to control their data more effectively and drive internal analytics and insights. Whether it is for portfolio analytics, valuations, investor reporting, or on-demand insight into operating metrics of a specific asset, this team is at the forefront of the FinTech space.

We are seeking someone to be part of a tight knit global team within Private Markets Group that provides analytical support and guidance to world leading Private Equity and Venture Capital firms. We provide services as an extension of our client's finance and accounting teams for delivery of ASC Topic 820 Valuations and audit support. This role provides many opportunities to interface directly with our clients and their audit teams.

This role is also unique in how we interface with other departments within IHS Markit. As a member of the valuation team, you will have opportunities to work and interface with client management, product development and our sales teams as valuation subject matter experts.

Candidates should have strong communication and project management skills and who can deliver thoughtful results in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be positive, outgoing and comfortable directly interfacing with our clients at all levels from accountant to CFO.

Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks :

• Gather and review underlying source data for the purpose of completing financial valuation models
• Work with the Valuation team and Operations Director to complete valuation reports that adhere to all AICPA standards
• Independently review and defend valuation reports during audit review meetings with clients and their auditors
• Assist the Implementation team with interpretation of financial documents used for onboarding companies to the platform
• Assist the Client Support Manager with client request resolution
• Work with the Senior Implementation Analysts to complete implementation reviews
• Complete other ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications, Requirements and Preferences :

• 4-year degree from an accredited college or university is required. Mathematics, accounting, or finance degrees are strongly preferred
• Prior Topic 820 Valuation or audit/accounting experience is a plus
• A strong understanding of mathematics and an analytical background.
• A strong proficiency Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently in an efficient and responsible manner.
• Extreme attention to detail and an ability to document processes
• Experience working effectively with others in a team setting while under the pressure of deadlines
• The desire to work for a company where individual contributions have significant impact on the success of the Team as a whole.
