The Role

The firm is seeking a Fund Associate to support the Fund Finance team in a period of significant growth. The primary focus of the position will be offering commercial value and oversight of fund finance for the Funds and related entities (including extensive cashflow modelling and valuations work), while also being heavily involved in deal /transaction support (including tax/legal structuring) and ad hoc tasks. Responsibilities will include:

Fund Finance
  • Fund Liquidity management - ensuring each Fund has enough cash to fund upcoming utilisations, expenses etc
  • Credit Facility management - drawing/repaying to leave an appropriate amount of cash at Fund level
  • Organize calls/distributions (to fund future investments/distribute realised proceeds from/to investors)
  • Drafting Transfer Recommendations in order to Fund borrower utilisation requests
  • Hedging - ensuring each foreign currency asset is adequately hedged to protect against foreign currency movements

Quarterly reporting:
  • Reviewing accounts prepared by TPA
  • Reviewing LP capital accounts prepared by TPA
  • Preparing front end accounts and Investor presentations
  • Tracking historical cashflows to calculate current IRRs
  • Updating Fund model quarterly to calculate Net returns
  • Reviewing monthly borrower interest statements prepared by Lux team

Other:
  • Reviewing legal docs prior to recommending them to be signed by Directors
  • Ad-hoc LP requests
  • Ad-hoc modelling requests
  • Annual Fund UK and US tax returns (liaising with tax experts)

Skills/Experience:
  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA) accountant (recently qualified)
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP/Reporting Standards
  • Computer literacy skills are essential
  • Previous experience with eFront an advantage
  • Commercial aptitude with a modern, pro-active approach
  • First class written and verbal communication skills

  • An organised approach to work which allows you to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities
