About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Specialist to join our Private Wealth Investment Management group as part of Wealth & Investment Management. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.
In this role, you will:
- Assist senior investment managers in handling investment management activities related to account administration, portfolio trading responsibilities, and preparation of meeting materials for a group of clients
- Manage simple to moderately complex investment portfolio activities for investment management accounts, fiduciary irrevocable and revocable trust accounts
- Review and analyze operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives while exercising independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
- Perform investment research, keep informed of developments in investment management industry and confer with client’s tax attorneys, accountants, etc., to determine other consequences of investment decisions and resolve account problems
- Support Portfolio Managers in executing investment strategies leveraging individual securities, pooled vehicles, open architecture platforms, and alternative investments to maximize returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk for the client
- Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with Wealth & Investment Management colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal as well as external customers within Wealth & Investment Management functional area
- Assists in business development through sales/marketing while leveraging partnership opportunities throughout the firm
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Wealth Investment Strategy Products experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to research, trend, and analyze data
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A BS/BA degree or higher in Finance or Economics
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or demonstrated progress toward the designation
- Knowledge of basic trust/fiduciary concepts
