This is a part -time project based opportunity to work with the investment team in our clients Financial Due Diligence practice which will provide you the opportunity to help them realize the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures within their current portfolio and potential acquisition targets. In short, you will carry out financial due diligence on companies they have targeted for acquisition whilst also evaluating those companies they already have in their portfolio to ensure they are financially sound enough to remain in their portfolio and ensure maximum value.
You will analyses and validate all the financial, commercial, operational and strategic assumptions being made.
On each project you will assist CFO office by conducting thorough financial due diligence. This will involve analyzing a range of companies from start ups to MNC's across a variety of Industries and sectors. You will also work closely with 3rd party suppliers.
Travel maybe required and this will be arranged and coordinated by the firm on a project by project basis.
We predict you will be reviewing 2-3 transactions a month and interacting with various departments within the holding company and target companies.
We expect you to:
• Be a qualified accountant with extensive FDD experience
Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends.
• Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice.
• Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives.
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others.
• Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships.
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
Responsibilities
• Support our Executives to lead and develop the firms FDD on the current portfolio of companies and target acquisitions
• Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to analysing the key drivers and valuation considerations that drive a transaction
• Work alongside operational/technical, commercial, tax and other due diligence professionals in integrated due diligence project teams enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process
