- Account management for a number of EMEA Hedge fund and Asset Management clients incorporating working closely with clients to understand their needs, formulate account plans, facilitating and chairing review meetings.
- Oversight and accountability of Fund Accounting and Administration, Middle / Back Office and Investor Services processing activities.
- Coordination of Fund Administration Board reports and presenting at quarterly Board meetings.
- Client on-boarding, working with implementation teams.
- Assisting the sales team in new business development activities - presentations, RFP's, and meetings with external parties.
- Supporting NAV production process and Investor Allocation - Management and Performance Fee calculation.
- Exercising sound judgement regarding the proper application of accounting principles to complex transactions, as well as preparing financial reports.
- For the more senior roles, man-management responsibilities including: team leadership, appraisals, providing guidance and training to junior staff on all technical and client service related topics, as well as developing career plans.
Required Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field with industry / accounting qualifications preferred (ACCA, CA, CAIA, CFA, CIMA).
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investment funds - ideally Hedge Fund experience. Ideally with an additional understanding of the day-to-day operational processing.
- Strong interpersonal and client skills (proven track record in client management for the more client focused roles).
- Strong people management skills for the more senior roles.
- High level of professionalism when dealing with clients, investors and colleagues.
- Ideally demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Sungard Investran experience would be a plus.
- Team player and enthusiastic / flexible attitude.
