Position Description:

PIMCO's Global Marketing Operations team strives to make the production and publication of our sales and marketing content as simple, efficient, and clear as possible. We achieve this by focusing on four strategic objectives:
  • Process and governance
  • Value add technology and agile best practices
  • Eliminating silos to reduce redundancy and rework
  • Focus on throughput and usage metrics
We are seeking a Marketing Associate to lead and coordinate our marketing automation efforts via external vendors and internal platforms. In this role, you will also manage the marketing operations, communications support and reporting. This function serves as a hub for marketing and requires partnership with various business groups and functions and requires a standout colleague who will support the overall marketing roadmap. Responsibilities
  • Partner with multiple internal and external teams to facilitate the maintenance and creation of automated marketing assets for PIMCO's clients
  • Spearhead the production and distribution of the firm's translated marketing content-from intake and managing workflows and stakeholder approvals to proofing/QA, compliance/legal review through publication
  • Manage a robust funnel of new intake requests and prioritization
  • Review, maintain and analyze extensive data sets
  • Maintain existing marketing technology and integrate new tools and processes to drive optimization and automation
  • Manage communication with internal and external partners, ensuring their teams have the information and content needed to get projects across the finish line
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate assets across teams and systems, and maintain project plans with stakeholders
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our external vendors who are critical to our marketing production
  • Maintain training and best practices documentation to support the adoption of new processes
  • Work independently and strategically toward the project, team goals and deliverables, requiring minor direction and guidance
  • While this role is an individual contributor, the ideal candidate will have prior people and stakeholder management experience


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum five years of professional marketing production and/or project management across multiple channels (e.g., web, mobile, social, paid search, display, etc.) or other relevant professional experience, preferably within the financial services or professional services industries or in a B2B environment
  • Familiarity with the marketing technology ecosystem and vocabulary
  • Hands-on experience with content and workflow management platforms
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and software at a functional level
  • Seismic/ Percolate/ SmartSheet experience is a plus but not required
  • Intermediate and above proficiency with Excel
  • Understanding of agile/scrum or other project management methodologies
  • Experience/consistent performance in a deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work

Professional Skills Requirements
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and lead a large number of ongoing initiatives; preference for PMP certified professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on assigned responsibilities through pursuing excellence, outstanding attention to detail, and use of effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, manage deadlines, and support or lead multifaceted initiatives
  • Experience developing and maintaining editorial calendars and content project plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and determining metrics for ensuring the efficiency of marketing content
  • Quick learner and adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills
  • High emotional intelligence
