Our client is a growth capital investor with a successful track record across the DACH region spanning more than two decades. With offices in Berlin, Frankfurt and Zürich the team is well underway with their new fund, building on their deal-by-deal success. The strategy deepens their investment reach into the core sectors such as: Life Science, IT/Software, Mechanical engineering/Hardware, Food & Beverages. With their growing platform they are looking to bring in an additional, experienced Investment Partner to continue building the platform and wider team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively network using existing relationships and building further in-roads to pitch for and win investment opportunities
• Quantitative and qualitative investment analysis, diligence, structuring and negotiations through to closing
• Deal leadership of growth investments including full due diligence and the decision to move forward at all stages of the investment process
• Responsible for key elements of pricing, structuring, and negotiation
• Leading execution teams, managing and developing junior investment professionals
• Working collaboratively with the portfolio companies as a board representative / observer to ensure long-term, sustainable growth
• Delivering return objectives from each investment and the portfolio as a whole
• Work with the leadership team to drive the investment strategy of the company
• Actively support the fundraising process

YOUR PROFILE:

• Proven track record in growth stage investing
• Experience as a deal leader, successful exit track record is a plus but not essential
• Outstanding commercial judgement and intellectual curiosity
• Demonstrated value add to companies in their 'scale up' phase; fostering top line and profitability growth and embracing technology
• Proven track record of creating value at the board level of portfolio companies, as an influencer and motivator
• Active network and positive market reputation for sourcing and leading investments
• Scientific or engineering background a plus
• Initial professional training in a top-tier investment bank, strategy consultancy or private equity firm
• Fluency in German & English
