VP/AVP, Senior Algo Trading (Quant) Developer - Leading Global Investment Bank

Position Description
The Algorithmic Trading team is looking for a strong developer to join our Hong Kong development centre. Our trading platform is purely developed in-house; the successful candidate will work closely with the Electronic Execution desk, Equity Traders, Quants and Technologists to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge solutions (including algo strategies, tuning and system development) for the Asia Pacific region. The candidate will work effectively in a dynamic and diversified team environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Be involved in the full software development lifecycle for the algo platform including requirement, design, development/implementation, and support
• Contribute to algo strategies including strategy development, algo tuning, quant development
• Provide tactical and strategic solutions to fulfill business needs
• Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures

Essential Skills and Experience

• Solid development experience in C# or any other object-oriented programming languages
• Good understanding of fundamental computer science concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to pay attention to detail even under pressure
• Good team player and open to new ideas
• Must have front office eq trading exposure
• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Preferred Skills, Experience and Competencies

• Experience in algorithmic trading is a plus
• Good exchange and market data knowledge
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn
