RESPONSIBILITIES:

Senior Associates will provide a range of accounting and consulting services specifically to private equity and hedge fund clients in assisting those clients with accounting issues surrounding their periodic or annual financial reporting requirements. Senior Associates will also provide a range of accounting and operational support to our clients; monthly net asset value review, weekly middle-office operational support and year-end financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Review/analyze monthly net asset value reports and reconcile trial balance accounts to supporting documentation
  • Assist clients with daily or weekly cash management and investment activity
  • Review investment company financial statements and all required footnote disclosures
  • Assist clients with establishing their infrastructure by developing/enhancing internal controls and operational best practices
  • Daily interaction with clients and service providers to build/maintain relationships and gather data pertinent to the engagement to address needs
  • Reporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports
  • Attend relevant industry events to broaden technical knowledge within the alternative asset industry
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or MBA
  • CPA license is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of the following experience: performing alternative investment company audits, providing hedge fund/private equity fund administration or working at an alternative investment advisor
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Quickbooks
