Position Description:

PIMCO's Early Career Recruiting Team is a newly formed yet high performing team responsible for attracting top early career talent to the firm and driving candidates through an engaging and efficient recruiting process. As an Early Career Recruiter at PIMCO, you'll develop strong partnerships with your aligned businesses, teammates and other internal stakeholders to accomplish this goal.

In this role, you'll serve as the main Early Career Recruiting point of contact for your aligned businesses. You'll be responsible for firm-wide and business-specific hiring strategy and full lifecycle recruiting inclusive of sourcing, interview process management, offer management, reporting, and candidate relationships for both full-time and summer hiring cycles. You will collaborate with Senior Recruiters and the Candidate Development Team to refine the recruiting strategy and value proposition for your aligned roles and come up with ideas to expand the Early Career Recruiting footprint across the firm.

The position sits in Austin, Texas or Newport Beach, CA and reports to the Early Career Recruiting Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Business Heads to agree on yearly early career hiring targets, interview process components/timelines, and closing strategies
  • Management of full lifecycle recruiting for campus and non-officer lateral hires inclusive of:
    • Sourcing and interacting with high quality candidates throughout the recruiting process
    • Auditing pipeline to ensure consistency of process and to ensure all top candidates are considered
    • Reviewing and selecting candidate resumes
    • Ensuring candidates are moved through the process in a timely manner
    • Leading interview debriefs to reach consensus on hiring decision
    • Driving offer process inclusive of drafting and obtaining approvals for offers, drafting offer letters and supporting documents, communicating offers and closing candidates
  • Maintain a high standard of data accuracy and share periodic and ad-hoc reports to business heads and HR stakeholders
  • Support summer interns in aligned businesses to ensure strong experiences for both the candidate and our businesses including the collection of feedback and facilitating the full-time offer process
  • Support the Early Career Candidate Development team by attending events and conferences where applicable


In addition, top performers will:
  • Collaborate on prospect development process in driving follow up strategies pertaining to their aligned businesses
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to help refine external messaging, value proposition and marketing content related to their aligned businesses
  • Seek out opportunities to grow the Early Career Recruiting footprint across PIMCO
  • Collaborate with Senior Recruiters on select mid-career and senior/executive searches
  • Keep an ear to applicant desires as it relates to campus programming and internships
  • Communicate business specific learning needs to be developed by Talent Development/Campus Programs


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience leading or co-managing full lifecycle full-time and/or summer recruiting processes
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday Recruiter preferred) and other recruitment technologies (i.e. HireVue, HackerRank)
  • Creative approach to problem solving; consciously thinking of ways to remove barriers and unafraid to ask for help where needed
  • Experienced in using data to drive decisions, as well as pulling together appropriate data to tell a story when communicating with different types of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities for and implementing efficiencies and process improvements
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with teammates; intuitive, quick learner, willing and able to handle steep learning curve
  • Excellent technology skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously; have a bias-to-action, results-oriented approach to work
