Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping & Bill Pay
    • Work with staff and vendors to facilitate timely payments
    • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Work alongside the firm's CPA to execute tax filings
    • Implement best practices around bookkeeping and asset security protocol
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration
    • Handle all payroll processing and 401(k) Administration
    • Facilitate ongoing benefits administration and renewal processes in coordination with the firm's benefits administrator
  • Financial Reports
    • Work alongside the firm's COO in preparing financial reports
    • Audit specific expense categories based on significant changes
  • Real Estate Administration
    • Work closely with members of the real estate team to handle all accounting and bill pay responsibilities related to the purchase, rehab, and development of properties
    • Provide support as needed for capital calls and cash distributions to and from investors
    • Maintain and monitor bank balances
  • Additional Duties
    • Bank Account: monitor bank balances and firm cash flows
    • Handle ad-hoc audits
    • Work on special projects as required by senior executives
    • Provide administrative support to senior executives

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, hard-working self-starter
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly and diligently
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills,
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, takes initiative, team player, collaborative, able to work others
  • Accurate, organized, able to set priorities
  • Of the highest integrity
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
  • Knowledge of real estate development is preferred
