Position Description:

2022 Summer Internship - Consultant Relations Group (CRG) Analyst, US (Undergraduate)


Internship positions are located at our New York City office.


See Yourself as a CRG Analyst:

CRG Analysts serve a dynamic role based around the core responsibility of servicing PIMCO's institutional consultants. The analyst's primary responsibility is to work alongside the Account Managers to deliver the highest level of service to consultants by responding to requests and sending information on the firm and its products. Other responsibilities include meeting preparation and participation, research of industry and financial markets information, risk measurement/analysis and special projects. Analysts must exhibit a strong sense of urgency and be able to juggle multiple priorities. The successful CRG Analyst will operate well both independently and be proactive and creative about problem solving.
In addition to client servicing responsibilities, most members of the group seek to participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program through the CFA Institute.

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

  • The PIMCO Internship Program runs for 10 weeks beginning in early/mid-June 2022

What to expect during the interview process:

  • After we receive your application, we'll conduct an initial resume & cover letter review. We'll send status updates throughout the process.

  • If selected to move forward, you'll meet with us during final-round interviews conducted live via Webex. Interviews typically consist of behavioral and technical concepts.


Position Requirements:

You're eligible to apply if you:

  • Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of Dec 2022 - June 2023
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent, at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Are business proficient in English


You'll excel as a CRG Analyst if you:

  • Have a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, investment strategies across asset classes (fixed income, equities, and alternatives)
  • Have a client service mind-set and exhibit a strong sense of urgency to find solutions when responding to requests
  • Possess the ability to gather, analyze and organize data, across investors and financial markets
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • Are personable, problem solver, and solutions focused. Have the ability to develop strong relationships with consultants, internal account managers, and internal partners across different departments.
  • Are ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high energy, self-starter, accountable, humble
  • Flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced, and professional environment
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Have the ability to navigate both internal and external database applications
  • Have taken finance/capital markets coursework (recommended)
