Risk Governance Officer - AVP or VP level opportunity - Leading Global Investment Bank

The Risk Governance Officer will mainly be responsible for overseeing the new product approval process and the coordination of new business requests for the risk management group. The incumbent will also be responsible for Risk Governance, ensuring compliance across the region, coordinating risk culture initiatives, being the champion for ESG initiatives and maintaining the register of exciting First Line and Second Line of Defence controls for risk, proposing new controls as needed to ensure the controls framework is adapted to the APAC activities. In addition to this, the jobholder will be responsible for Regulatory Self Assessments and Audit Coordination.

The successful candidate will be a degree holder who has gained at least 5 years' experience in a Risk Management, Audit, Finance or Middle Office position who has a good knowledge and understanding of products, particularly exotic/structured products. Applicants from the Big 4 would be considered and those with a CFA and/or FRM qualification are preferred. Candidates will need to have excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship and stakeholder management skills.
