Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, China Sales, Institutional Business.

Principal Responsibilities

This role contributes to the identification of sales opportunities and maintenance of business relationships, focusing on specific customer requirements.

The role holder will:
  • Contribute to the identification of sales opportunities that address specific needs for clients
  • Maintain business relationships with clients in assigned area of responsibility
  • Develop knowledge of client needs and requirements, coordinating efforts to service client organisations
  • Identify potential opportunities for cross selling

Requirements
  • University degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance or a related discipline; CFA holder is a bonus
  • 8-10 years' relevant experience in asset management industry preferably in institutional sales role
  • Able to independently cover clients to achieve sales target
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadline and good business sense
  • Proficiency written and spoken skill in both English and Chinese (Putonghua)
  • Excellent presentational skill
