We are looking for an Crypto Research Associate to join our leading cryptocurrency Wall Street research team.  As a Crypto Research Associate, you will apply stock-focused analytical expertise in the cryptocurrency sector under the supervision of a seasoned Senior Analyst (CFA 1994; sell-side since 1992).  In addition to writing and maintaining institutionally-focused investment directed research reports, you will be required to build complex financial models, interact with company management teams, and attend conferences.  Exemplary writing skills, great comfort with Excel spreadsheets, and critical analytical thinking are absolutely a must where an ability to multi-task, work long hours, and a collegial attitude are all essential for success.  Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in sell-side investment research preparation, formal economics, and a penchant for writing about stocks and the market in which they trade.  Over time, the research associate would have the opportunity to initiate coverage of additional stocks under the direction of the senior analyst. The position is located at H.C. Wainwright's mid-town Manhattan office, currently closed, but scheduled to open shortly.

Specific qualifications also include:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics preferred, but other business degrees considered as a function of job experience

Prior equity research experience not mandatory, but a plus

Superior writing skills and wonderful proficiency with English is mandatory

Broad understanding of Excel and the mathematics it makes easy also required

Mastery of common valuation techniques, including DCF and comparable valuation analysis

Demonstration of great initiative and the ability to work independently are necessary

FINRA licenses Series 86 and 87 would eventually be required

Congenial, well humored, calm, cool, and collected personality traits are not necessary, but helpful in light of long hours in an intense environment
