Credit Risk Manager, Trade & Commodity Finance

Overview

A well-established global bank is seeking to hire a Vice President Credit Risk Manager for the Commodity Finance portfolio to provide credit management and credit analysis in partnership with client coverage bankers to achieve its business target and comply with regulatory requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the credit risk analysis, credit application and annual review of commodities corporate clients, including the credit application write up, rating application, and continuous monitoring of credit performance of the assigned corporate customers.
• Support Relationship Managers and Business Units and solicit approvals in situations of facility increase, exception/deviation request and answer subsequent enquiries from Risk Approval department;
• Handle credit related matters including review of latest financials of obligors upon receipt of financial statements, long term loan review, compliance of credit approval conditions with bank policy and instructions;
• Oversee documentation matters of existing and new transaction after credit approval;
• Continuously review the existing credit commitments to identify potential credit problems and to recommend appropriate action when needed;

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in credit analysis, credit management or relationship management with reputable corporate banks including financial analysis and cash flow projection for commodities corporate customers
• Product knowledge in trade / commodities finance
• Bachelor's Degree; Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, FRM are desirable
• Good writing and communication/ presentation/excel and powerpoint skills in english;
• Due to target customer segment, proficiency in spoken English and Mandarin is a must.
