Investment/Portfolio Analytics Associate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the Consolidated Fundamental Database (CFD). The CFD is a repository of proprietary stock specific materials. Ensure data integrity and timeliness of the information contained there-in
• Manages the Investment Research database in FactSet
• Produces reports for the Investment Committee monthly meeting; prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, utilizing automation tools where appropriate
• Produces ad-hoc reporting to support regulatory, compliance and marketing requests
• Produces and reviews portfolio attribution reports
• Assists with portfolio back-testing
• Assists with ad-hoc research projects as assigned
• Coordinates and schedules company management and sell-side analyst meetings 
• Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• FactSet expertise required, including FDS and FQL spreadsheet coding, OFDB database creation, Portfolio Analytics (PA) and Alpha Testing (AT)
• Advanced experience in Excel required
• Understanding and aptitude for capital markets in general and domestic equities in particular
• Solid understanding of data analysis including where data comes from, how the data is used and how it is integrated and presented for consumption
• Ability to work with little supervision in an unstructured environment, including decision-making and time management skills

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics or equivalent required
• 1-3 years’ experience in finance industry analysis role required
