Senior Finance Analyst

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. We’re looking for someone to analyze our financial data and help us make smart and strategic business decisions. You’ll be a key member of the team as you’ll demonstrate your attention to detail and focus on strategy through your analysis and recommendations. It is important that you have a desire to learn in a fast-paced tech start up and make it happen.

Responsibilities

  • Categorize transactions on the FreshBooks system
  • Analyze financial data and developing financial models and cost projections
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Work on proposals, planning, budget creation, and special projects
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Work on development, implementation, and review of fiscal policies
  • Keep up with industry news, trends, and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with US industry standards and rules, as well as prov/state/federal legislation
  • Support accounting team as needed and help with US tax, reporting, and audit activities and special projects

Pre-Requisites

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study
  • 3 - 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience in financial software
  • Advanced Google Sheets skills
  • Knowledge of US financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Must speak English fluently (TOEFL IBT > 95 or CAE > C1 level)
  • Must have a personal notebook (Mac or Windows)
  • Must have a mobile device (iOS or Android)
  • Resilient to learn continuously in a startup

CONTRACT: This is a Permanent, Full-time position (40h per week), on an Independent Contractor status.
