About this role
Job Purpose/Background:
The Global Consultant Relations ("GCR") group is responsible for driving new business and maintaining existing business through relationships with institutional investment consultants, request for proposals (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). GCR is represented across the US & Canada, EMEA, and APAC. The team works closely with both product and sales team globally and presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to these areas of the business and to gain a wealth of knowledge about the workings of BlackRock, its position in the market and the products we manage.
The individual will be responsible to update investment product information on consultant databases manually or by using automated solutions and to work on DDQs across regions.
The team delivers high quality, consistent and cohesive quantitative and qualitative information to clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for consultant database maintenance and updating information like portfolio performance, characteristics, assets under management and personnel data across all investment products.
- Perform role of a Junior Relationship Manager (RM) for various investment consultants and support the consultant coverage team members across globe.
- Managing and writing DDQ / RFP responses about our firm, support model and value proposition.
- Responding to client queries and ad-hoc requests.
- Liaising with subject matter experts at all levels throughout the business to source information, as well as completing client due diligence questionnaires.
- Manage workload successfully and assist other team members when required.
- Contributing to the evolution of processes, technology, projects, and resources.
Skills, Experience and Competencies:
- Relevant experience of more than 3 years in investment management / asset management or financial industry.
- Experience in handling the investment consultant databases.
- Good understanding of capital markets instruments (like equities, fixed income, derivatives) and trading lifecycle.
- Hands on experience on Proposal Management or Pre-Sales activity.
- Organized, detail-oriented with critical reading / editing skills, strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Team player with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint) and RFP software (Pmaps, Qvidian, RFPio). Ability to write macros for automation and process efficiency.
- Postgraduate - MBA (Finance) or equivalent; CFA certification will be an added advantage.
