Job Description Using discretion and judgment, the Quantitative Compliance Analyst II will review and verify the accuracy and appropriateness of all performance and related product data appearing in regulatory, sales and marketing materials publicly released by MFS.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Recommend, maintain, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used in marketing and sales materials and, as needed, other information published externally by MFS. This position will require knowledge and proven experience in the following areas:

  • Performance concepts as relates to investment products - including performance calculation and presentation.
  • Regulatory issues surrounding performance presentations including SEC, FINRA as well as voluntary standards such as Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®).
  • Investment Product characteristic data for both fixed income and equity investment styles, measures of risk and risk adjusted performance and their appropriate usages.
  • Understanding of all the products MFS offers and familiarity with their different reporting requirements.
  • The data and technology environment within MFS and the authoritative source for each data element reviewed.

  • Recommend procedures and workflows in a controlled environment that ensures effective and timely review of all materials, including effective control evidence of review.
  • Assist in review of prospectuses, shareholder reports, KIIDs and other public documents related to MFS funds and investment products.

  • Assist in review of performance data in sales & marketing literature, RFPs and other published materials related to MFS funds and investment products.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in finance, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline, with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the mutual fund or investment advisory/financial services industry required.
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytic skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a controlled environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • CFA a significant plus.
