As a Director of Bremer Wealth Portfolio Management/ Chief Investment Officer (CIO) you will manage Bremer's wealth investment team, develop and communicates investment strategies, oversee all compliance activities/requirements, manage a book of client portfolios, attend client meetings, assist Wealth Advisors with new business opportunities, serve as a relationship manager for systems/technology, and is a member of our the Wealth leadership team. In this role you use your solid understanding of the global financial markets and the global economy to provide vision, direction and leadership of the firm’s Investment philosophy, processes and strategies. Other responsibilities include developing/maintaining a disciplined processes that result in competitive outcomes. As the Chief Investment Officer you will have the opportunity to communicate and work with a broad range of people; this includes internal bank partners, external vendors and regulators, and high net worth clients. For this reason you'll have a solid understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and risk management, and possess a strong attention to detail to effectively oversee all areas of compliance. Specific responsibilities may include:

•    Lead Investment calls with advisors to discuss current market conditions, our outlook for the markets, investment performance, changes in strategy and reasons for making changes 
•    Lead the creation of client podcasts
•    Create written content for internal as well as external use to communicate strategies and concepts
•    Work with Marketing/Leadership teams on client materials 
•    Maintain a robust Asset Management website that serves as a valuable resource for Advisors and Portfolio Managers
•    Ensure the REG-9 process is followed properly, which includes making sure all reviews are done timely
•    Chair the Investment Committee and ensure all activities are reported and within policies, guidelines, procedures and applicable laws and regulations
•    Establish and maintain credibility with regulators and audit and respond to audit issues with accepted remediation plans
•    Collaborate and work effectively to ensure Investment activities are in alignment with the Compliance Program.
•    Maintain a leadership role with the Fiduciary committee on all Investment-related matters
•    Establish and maintain the compliance program for our Municipal Advisory/Public Entity business activities, as well as serve as the Compliance Officer for the program
•    Lead the development of written policies, guidelines and procedures for all Investment-related activities

Qualifications
A combination of education and experience which generally includes a bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience in the investment management industry, preferably in discretionary money management in a fiduciary capacity. A demonstrated track record of successful leadership and supervisory experience is essential. Travel approximately day a week. CFA designation is strongly preferred.
