Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
• Act as lead analyst on RMBS transactions with responsibility for applying RMBS
methodology and for providing appropriate analytical assessments. You will perform
transaction analysis including loan pool analysis, modelling and analysis of bond
structure, originator/servicer evaluation and review of legal structure and
documentation
• Provide detailed investment recommendation to securitized team and PM’s including but not
limited to investment’s key considerations, pool characteristics, and risk opinion (credit or
prepayment)
• Lead review of methodology (proprietary prepayment model, etc.) and to address topical RMBS
related issues. Attend issuer and client meetings to discuss methodology, publications and
expertise
• Point person for RMBS surveillance across various sub-asset classes. Work with the securitized
team to further improvements in the existing framework
• Contribute to securitized team discussions in areas of relative value and strategy
• Work with the analytics team to ensure securities have been accurately structured and priced
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2-3 years of RMBS sector analysis, surveillance, or trading experience. Upto-
date knowledge of residential/consumer regulatory frameworks
• Experience with other structured sectors or interest rate related investment
instruments is a plus
• A Bachelor’s degree is required with progress towards a CFA a plus
• Advanced quantitative, analytical and technological skills
• Strong attention to detail and the aptitude to be operate effectively under tight time
constraints
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Display the drive to work independently coupled with the ability to ask questions to sustain the
learning process
• A desire to work in an entrepreneurial, evolving, and dynamic environment, and possess
a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity
