- Gathering and analyzing data from a variety of sources; including company reports, internet, etc
- Identify key trends and value and risk drivers
- Building, maintaining and analyzing financial models of companies and industries
- Prepare a preliminary valuation
- Responsible for the financials and sector analysis
- Prepare an excel detailing profit and loss and balance sheet for past years
- Collect and interpret company data to facilitate recommendation
- Keeping oneself updated with the latest events about the companies under review
- Attending company calls every quarter
- Prepare an investment thesis for each company under review
- Undertaking management and client interaction
- Identifying investment opportunities with respect to stocks
- Provide relevant research material/coverage for the sector to the sales/sales trading team to facilitate client interaction
- Keeping in touch with the industry so as to understand or identify upcoming stock ideas
- Ensure ongoing self-development.
