Position Description:

The mission of the People Analytics team at PIMCO is to leverage workforce data to enable and empower HR and business leaders to make data-driven decisions that facilitate better business outcomes and also provide enhanced employee experience.
As the Senior Analyst in the new and growing People Analytics team, you will lead the generation and delivery of analyses and insights on workforce data.
Above all, empathy and collaboration are needed. You will be working, consulting, and helping across many teams as an enabler with an opportunity to make a large impact.

Position Requirements:

Specific responsibilities

•Work with the HR leadership team and other stakeholders to assess requirements for insights into workforce data
•Perform end-to-end data analysis starting from hypothesis formation, investigation, data discovery, to data wrangling, in-depth analysis, and build data visualizations and reporting solutions
•Support a multitude of HR and company initiatives around diversity and inclusion, organization composition, retention/attrition, hiring, talent and performance, compensation, and more
•Apply your quantitative skills, data science techniques and research methodologies to enrich understanding and/or improve prediction of employee motivation and behaviors
•Actively partner with other People Analytics practice areas such as Reporting and Data Strategy and participate in the ongoing development of the business intelligence and data warehousing activities
•Work on ad hoc research and analyses that could involve gathering data from variety of sources and domains and weave a compelling story and present insights to senior management

Position Requirements

You are the Right Candidate if you:

•Are passionate about analyzing data
•Excel at finding insights, synthesizing data and information into coherent storytelling, recommendations and influence
•Work independently as well as within a team structure, and be flexible to support the overall People Analytics practice and its initiatives
•Work collaboratively in a relationship-oriented, matrixed, fluid, growing and complex environment and effectively manage stakeholder relationships
•Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive People data and business issues

Technical Skills and Experience (Must Have)

•Master's degree in Math/Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
•6+ years of experience in People Analytics with mid-to-large sized organizations with a strong acumen for HR data, technologies and processes
•Expert in data interpretation/storytelling, and dynamic dashboard development using data visualization tools like Power BI
•Demonstrated experience with data wrangling across various systems and sources by using SQL, Python, or cloud-based tools like Workday Prism Analytics, or Alteryx, Tableau Prep, etc.
•3+ years of hands-on experience deriving insights from people/employee data using Python or R including experience with
o Applying Python frameworks and libraries
o Applying and presenting statistical methods and ML
o Building and deploying predictive models
o Applying natural language processing (NLP) and organizational network analysis (ONA)
•Advanced knowledge of Excel / VBA
•Experience communicating and presenting to Senior Management

Technical Skills and Experience (Desired)

•A degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
•Hands-on experience with Workday Reporting, Discovery Boards and Prism Analytics will be a huge plus
•Experience working in a large, global organization, or one that is highly matrixed
•Familiarity with PeopleSoft data
