The Fixed Income Investment Analyst is responsible for supporting the investment team in its mandate to manage OneAmerica's general account investment portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor macroeconomic and sector specific trends to assess the impact to the existing portfolio and to help formulate recommendations that optimize risk and return.
- Identify investment opportunities and execute trades in the new issue and secondary markets in partnership with portfolio managers.
- Maintain primary responsibility for credit work within assigned asset classes or sectors.
- Assist with preparation of investment reports for various committees, boards, regulators, rating agencies, and other constituents.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. / B.A. in Business, Economics, or Mathematics
- 2-5 years professional experience
- Chartered Financial Analyst preferred
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply knowledge and previous experience in new situations.
- Ability to prioritize issues, tasks and analysis work to meet established turnaround times and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that adapt to the audience
