Position Purpose:

This individual will work with the Global Trading Team with the primary responsibility for trading Securitized Credit Products. In addition, the trader will be responsible for communicating themes, trends, and activity relating to the Securitized debt market to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders on a regular basis. This trader must maintain a working knowledge of the securitized market and keep abreast of evolving market trends. Being able to build and maintain relationships both externally and internally is essential.

Primary Accountabilities:

•Execute buy and sell transactions on various subsectors of Securitized Credit including ABS and CMBS securities across multiple active portfolio strategies

•Maximize best execution practices using multiple trading platforms and venues

•Develop maintain, and manage relationships with broad set of broker/dealers

•Gather and analyze market color and communicate relevant information to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders across the firm

•Track sector specific valuation information to help identify market opportunities

Qualifications:

Required:

•Bachelor’s degree

•Fixed Income investment experience preferred

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Strong ability to build and maintain relationships both externally and internally is essential

•Ability to work effectively as part of a team of portfolio managers, analysts and traders

•Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills

•Ability to negotiate effectively with broker/dealers

•Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with precision

•Strong attention to detail

•Self-motivated

Preferred:

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics

•MBA, MA or CFA (or in progress)

•Programming skills

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role
