Job Description

We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our Investment team. You are a team player, self-motivated with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You will work closely with the lead portfolio manager in a dynamic and stimulating environment. You will be exposed to all aspects of the portfolio management process and help shape your team’s investment strategies through your comprehensive research on companies, industries and sectors.

You Will:

• Conduct fundamental research and analysis on global equity securities
• Monitor existing positions, generate buy/sell recommendations and communicate conclusions orally and in writing
• Update the investment team on news and trends related to companies, sectors, and macroeconomic developments around the world
• Attend conferences and corporate management meetings
• Conduct primary research by interviewing experts and KOLs
• Maintain databases integral to our research process
• Support general functions of the investment research team
• Support portfolio managers by preparing ad hoc research/portfolio reports

You Have:

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work cooperatively, prioritize and multi-task
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements as well as economics, international affairs and policies
• Intellectual curiosity to explore and learn and seek out new unusual sources of information
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (SQL/ VBA/Python is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field
• Interest in obtaining CFA designation
• Foreign language skills preferred but not required (Japanese, German, French, Swedish, other)
