What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Fiduciary responsibility to assist in the effective management of fixed income, equity, and real estate portfolios under chosen external managers presently totaling $22 billion.
  • Applies portfolio management and analytical skills to interact with and monitor external investment managers to achieve stated investment objectives.
  • Provides recommendations related to investment strategies, external investment managers, policies, and processes and support their execution and any revisions consistent with defined objectives.
  • Communicates effectively and engages well with BWC investment staff, BWC Administrator/CEO, other BWC divisions, BWC outside investment consultants, as well as with BWC Directors at all monthly board investment committee meetings.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
  • CFA required and member in good standing
  • Minimum 10-15 years institutional investment experience
  • Extensive knowledge of fixed income and equity markets required; institutional real estate market knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be able to travel.

Additional Information:

  • The selected candidate will be required to work from the William Green Building located at 30 W. Spring St. in Columbus, Ohio post-pandemic.
  • Please note that the State of Ohio does not pay for employee relocation costs.
  • Position will require travel; therefore, persons occupying this position must be able to provide own transportation &/or legally operate a state-owned vehicle.
  • This position is Overtime Exempt.
