Job Description

Position provides analytical support for the High Yield Corporate Bond Team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor a wide range of reports and analyses of the portfolios including investment performance trends and comparisons to client guidelines, indices', sector weightings, attribution and contribution analyses, screening of potential investment ideas based on selected characteristics, and monitoring team portfolio holdings to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Gather and analyze large datasets needed to support portfolio decisions and communicate findings to team members and other investment professionals.
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting materials for external clients and internal partners.
• Perform portfolio attribution, performance analysis, and position monitoring.
• Work closely with research and trading and interact with groups across the firm to improve processes and minimize operational risks.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of fixed income markets and investment concepts.
• Proven attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to pull together, organize, and analyze large quantities of data and to check the output for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external business partners.
• A high level of initiative with strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills and aptitude for technology, including Microsoft office systems (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
• Proficiently gather relevant data from BlackRock Solutions, Bloomberg, and other investment systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuit of the CFA designation.
• Experience with Excel VBA, SQL Server/Access databases, and any statistical/mathematical programming language, such as R, Python, or Matlab.
