Manage cross functional client onboarding process and changes to client requirements arising from portfolio restructures and other changes in client requirements. The position will foster a strong relationship with clients and prospects, aligning resources and services to comprehensively address their needs, in conjunction with the other functions in AIAIM

  • Operate collaboratively to support client service delivery
  • Log and monitor progress of outstanding client requests and issues, follow up with relevant parties involved to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of service
  • Manage client changes to investment mandates and dealing services agreements in collaboration with internal functions including, legal & governance, operations, mandate and pre-trade control setup (IAAC), and finance departments;
  • Manage the onboarding of new clients and new funds/portfolios of existing clients using prescribed project management tools & processes. This will encompass organization of due diligence visits & responding to questionnaire, to ensuring legal agreement & operating memorandum are in place, to coordinating the implementation of processes and systems for a successful launch;
  • Co-ordinate meetings between clients and asset managers
  • Administer and manage the Client Service system
  • Directly responsible for managing relationships with certain AIAIM's clients and maintaining a high level of engagement with them
  • Thorough understanding of client portfolio mandates, AIAIM investment processes and current strategy for all portfolios.
  • Ensure issues are communicated and escalated in a timely manner both internally and directly with the clients, ensuring appropriate follow up action and issue resolution, and where necessary, coordinate changes to address areas of concern as raised by clients;
  • Coordinate and play a critical role in the preparation of client presentation materials, investment commentaries and related information for client meetings, RFPs and RFIs; plan and conduct portfolio review with clients
  • Respond to ongoing inquiries from clients and ensure that client requests and instructions are tracked, monitored and addressed on timely basis

Job Requirements
  • Degree in business or a related discipline and/or a professional designation such as CFA, would be a distinct advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the funds industry of which at least 3 years would be directly related to client servicing/product development/performance/investment management.
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good understanding of client onboarding processes in an asset management business
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to construct onboarding plans and manage stakeholders to deliver client requirements
  • A person with excellent interpersonal skills, experienced in working collaboratively in teams and capable of working across a variety of organizational dimensions and capable of managing across a diversity of disciplines and cultures.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in the best interest of the clients and AIAIM.
  • Strong initiative and accountability; able to work independently
