The Canadian operations of TPH are registered with IIROC as an Investment Dealer and as a member of CIPF, and the Calgary-based TPH team is active in Research, Securities markets, transaction advisory, M&A, divestitures, capital raises and restructuring.
Investment Banking Analysts at TPH are actively involved in all aspects of client projects. Deal teams at TPH are small, enabling Analysts to have a meaningful role in their projects and gain direct exposure to clients and senior bankers across firm. A typical deal team consists of a Managing Director, Director, Associate, and an Analyst. As the Analyst on a deal team, you will support live deals and business development by completing financial analysis and models and conducting company / industry research. TPH as a firm is broadly increasing its focus on energy transition, and this Analyst position will be involved in these ongoing efforts. As Investment Banking assignments involve significant interaction with senior client personnel, TPH values maturity and strong presentation skills in evaluating Analyst candidates. Time management skills are also important as Analysts are routinely staffed on multiple assignments. Analyst Qualifications and Experience:
Our professionals come from remarkably diverse backgrounds. While a background in finance / accounting or energy industry is not required, you should be comfortable with numerical computation / analysis and have an attestable interest in working in energy financial services. Most Analyst hires are recent university graduates with one to three years of relevant experience. Enrollment in the CFA program is not required, but is viewed as a signal of commitment to working in the financial services industry.
