Position Description:
We are seeking a Manger, Operations, to join our PIMCO Fund Operations team. In this role, you will provide operational support for the PIMCO Canada product platforms including mutual funds, institutional trusts, alternatives, and closed-end funds. You will also collaborate with teams throughout PIMCO to be well-informed of industry initiatives, regulatory changes, documentation requirements, operational activities, and fund administration. Furthermore, you will work in partnership with a number of internal and external teams to support existing controls and procedures associated with the Canadian business as well as evaluate and develop improved workflows to eliminate operational risk.

Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities may include
- Research and resolve shareholder issues, coordinating with PIMCO teams and/or external service providers, as needed
- Drive system and process enhancements internally and at our transfer agents to mitigate risk and improve our client experience
- Oversee service delivery to fund shareholders, including call quality, processing accuracy, and delivery of shareholder communication (e.g., statements, confirmations and tax forms)
- Monitor service level agreements with service providers and develop action plans when quality results are below expectations
- Coordinate implementation of corporate actions and other fund or internal events at our transfer agents and other service providers
- Spearhead communication to internal and external clients regarding corporate actions and other fund or internal events
- Align service delivery efforts with internal and external goal-setting and incentive programs
- Understand and share best practices across service providers, trusts, and geographies
- Manage various projects related to process improvements, procedures, and systems
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics; an advanced degree is desirable
- Bilingual in French and English, both oral and written
- Minimum 7 years of fund operations experience in a mutual funds related business, ideally at an investment manager, transfer agent, or a Big 4 accounting firm
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian securities laws and regulations applicable to investment managers
- Hands-on experience working with Canadian regulators, including the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC)
- Strong knowledge of finance and investment concepts
- Strong project management experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
