POSITION

The Operational Program Management (OPM) Group is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Global Delivery Platform, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and Client Technology Operations across InvesTech Operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading various technology and operational Programs within the OPM Group. The successful candidate will partner with all functional areas within our Client Platform, Information Technology, InvesTech Operations as a thought partner for creating, articulating, and executing operational strategy for the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with the Director of OPM on all initiatives related to supporting InvesTech Operations
  • Take point on critical technology initiatives and ad hoc Programs
  • Ensure business and infrastructure connectivity, strategy and engagement across the globe
  • Represent InvesTech Ops through participation in platform/ firm wide working groups
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand existing system limitations/processes. Customize/enhance such limitations according to stakeholders needs and specifications
  • Monitor project progress, manage project risk and plan resource availability
  • Estimate resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Manage contracts with 3rd party vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Teach business stakeholders how to use newly implemented systems or processes
  • Understand data flow and business logic to analyze and resolve discrepancies as well as identifying areas of improvement and oversee the implementation of such improvements
EXPERIENCE

We seek the following qualifications:
  • College degree with preference towards graduate level degree, CFA and/or MBA and at least five years of broad operational and management experience, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; detail oriented and proactive
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Ability to solve problems creatively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enthusiastic proponent of new technologies
  • Outstanding "soft skills": oral and written communication, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, conflict resolution
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where priorities change frequently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong business judgment
  • Being personable, approachable and good-humoured
