Overview of Position 

The Client Portfolio Administrator will be responsible for managing the daily trading cycle, performing pre-trade processes, trade execution, and post-trade communications with broker and custodian firms. Tasks range in complexity and involve the ability to efficiently follow processes, think critically and problem solve under pressure. The role requires a deep understanding of internal systems and the opportunity to champion new operational strategies. The ability to work and communicate with others in a team environment while focusing on exceeding client expectations is critical.

  • Maintain all in-house model portfolios and respective trading groups
  • Process daily trade tickets for client investment or reallocation needs, including but not limited to portfolio model trades, stock gifting, raising cash, investing cash, and tax loss harvesting
  • Risk Management oversight and implementation of customized client portfolio restrictions
  • Daily administration of the trade order management systems by keeping client, system, security, and market data up to date, including but not limited to daily review of portfolio cash levels
  • Communicate with brokers and custodians to reconcile any breaks in trade settlement
  • Provide compliance support, including but not limited to trade error reporting, monitoring broker and soft dollar commissions, best execution analysis, and GIPS reporting


  • Experience, Education and Professional Designations
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services or a related industry
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business or a related field
  • Technical Skills
  • Exposure to investment-related software a plus i.e., Advent Axys/Moxy, Bloomberg, Factset 
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite, (Macros, VBA desired)
