Position Description:

The Business Development Support (BDS) Team is responsible for responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Due Diligence requests and Client Questionnaires globally. Responding to RFPs is vital to supporting the firm's marketing efforts and can directly contribute to increasing the firm's assets under management. BDS team members work collaboratively in a fast paced environment to support the firm's client servicing and business development opportunities. The BDS Team will actively communicate with internal teams firm wide to create bespoke responses for each request, ensuring accurate and timely responses. Within the team there is a strong emphasis on teamwork, developing new skills, attention to detail and expanding investment acumen. Team members actively contribute to enhancing the team's processes and are encouraged to present their best ideas and participate in solution discussions. BDS Analysts/Associates participate in a well-structured and team-supported training program to help them get acclimated to the role and to continue to grow their industry and finance knowledge. Analysts/Associates work in a collaborative team structure that aids them in developing or further enhancing financial acumen, oral and written communication, analytical thinking, and problem solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with various PIMCO groups to create best in class RFP responses
  • Gain exposure and develop a strong understanding of the investment philosophy and strategy of PIMCO's products
  • Leverages team by answering standard firm and product questions to help meet stringent deadlines
  • Maintains high profile qualitative and quantitative information in internal systems by retrieving data and updating standard information on firm and products
  • Develop relationships and act as a liaison between BDS and various Subject Matter Experts to proactively update RFP content
  • Assist team in managing client service requests by helping to qualify and distribute client questionnaires and ad-hoc requests amongst team members
  • Assist deadline heavy work queue by applying efficient time management and demonstrating proficiency of team's processes
  • Utilize Excel and Word macros to increase process efficiency
  • Must develop ability to efficiently navigate organization globally
  • Work across multiple internal channels to communicate with PIMCO professionals in various regions globally to complete tasks


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required
  • Completion of Series 7 & 63 is required within first 3 months of service
  • Ideal candidates would be recent graduates with college internships in a financial, client-oriented role or up to 3 years of financial services experience
  • Strong work ethic and drive to learn and contribute in a performance driven environment
  • Strong interest in learning about the financial markets, economics and global events
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills and ability to flourish in a challenging, fast-paced professional environment
  • Maintain a commitment to quality and attention to detail and ensure that work is delivered completely, accurately and on time
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external personnel in both written and verbal communications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite software and able to quickly adapt to learning new software applications. VBA or programming experience is a plus
  • Solutions minded, innovative, result oriented and possessing a curious and inquiring mind
